Chances are you’ve been rotating between a few pairs of sweatpants over the past month. Maybe you’ve matched a button down (to frame your zoom call) with Fruit of the Loom joggers. If you’ve put on jeans, kudos, we haven’t. But our sweatsuit supplies are running low and we’ve been trying to find some cozy loungewear that is also up to our sustainability standards. Here is some JRR approved leisurely attire that will suit all the baking, cooking, movie watching, and boredom fighting.

AMOUR VERT This Cali based brand uses sustainable materials, plants a tree for every tee sold, and produces limited quantities to reduce excess waste. It also ensures workers are treated well and that all its garments are recycle and never landfill bound. All causes we are happy to support.

ALTERNATIVE APPAREL Using organic & recycled materials, low-impact dyes & water-conserving washes, and eco-friendly packaging, AA is a go-to brand for sustainable basics. From tees to sweats, rest assured you’ll find some high quality loungewear.

COYUCHI This brand is usually a staple for homewares for us, but it also offers some nice lounge pieces as well. Coyuchi’s products are soft and comfortable, but also guarantee organic materials, non-toxic production methods, and recycling programs for your worn out items.

THE SLEEP SHIRT This Canadian brand focuses on using only natural materials (cotton, linen, cashmere) to ensure all items biodegrade naturally. Such materials also have more breathability, absorbency, and durability than their synthetic alternatives.

NINETY PERCENT This brand is one of our favorites here at JRR. With their motto, “Plant comes first” Ninety Percent specializes in providing quality garments that are careful of the environment. Additionally, the brand shares 90% of distributed profits with charitable causes, making each purchase mean something.

GIRLFRIEND COLLECTIVE This relatively new brand uses recycled materials (plastics) to make its activewear. The company is extremely transparent and details their processes and fair trade practices on its website. We’re all for slow fashion in this fast-paced world.

PROJECT SOCIAL T While this brand isn’t the most sustainable on the list, Project Social T “give[s] attention to fabric quality and simplicity over everything.” Additionally, the brand is dedicated to giving back, donating to 4 various charities every year.
